Up for sale here is (what I believe to be) an early 1970's Kessels frameset.

Kessels is a Belgian frame builder who, among others, built frames that were ridden by Eddy Merckx and sold under the Merckx label. Hence this would make for a nice Merckx replica frameset.

Both frame and fork feature long Campagnolo dropouts. The lugs all have beautiful circular cutouts, typical for early 1970's Kessels frames. Most Kessels frames were built with Reynolds 531 tubing. Given the weight of the frame though - a mere 1625 grams (661 grams for the fork) - I am guessing this may have been built with somehting lighter, possibly Columbus KL or Record tubing.

Top tube length is 56 cm (C-C). Seat tube length is 56 cm (C-C). Head tube length is 13.5 cm. Rear spacing is 126 mm.

The frameset is being sold as is. It shows paint chips, rust spots and some small dings. There is also a tiny crack underneith the seat tube entry. Nothing some brass and a new paint job can't fix.

I am looking for € 150,00 or 110 GBP for the frameset, including shipment to any country Europe.
