Wowser. I love the hand-painted lettering, but are they really made of carbon fibre?

They don't have a 'weave' pattern as such, it looks like they were made by a moulding process of sorts as there are some mould lines to be seen.
A very close up look appears to show 'fibres' in the surface.
I can take one to work and put it inder the microscope camera for you?
Google search throws up nothing definitive!
