and finally, a superb 32 spoke 8 speed wheelset handbuilt by Guy Howat Cycles of Oldham
Hubs - Dura-Ace 7402 c/w original QR skewers, front is a little rumbly compared to the rear which is very smooth. Freehub suitable for the 8 speed DA cassette listed above but also accepts 8 speed Uniglide cassettes. OLD = 130mm but lefthand locknut is tapered to allow easier fitment into 126mm frames. Will also accept 9 speed HG cassettes!
Spokes - butted DT Swiss 3 cross front & rear
Rims - Mavic CXP30 SUP deep section gold clinchers, braking surfaces are almost immaculate, rear is true but front is 1mm off
