After Guiseppe Saronni won the Worlds at Goodwood, Colnago released a Saronni branded diffusion line (although I doubt that they used the term 'diffusion line' back in the day). There were several models and from previous discussion and the weight of the frame this is an SLX.
The previous owner had this resprayed and decaled as a Colnago but you can see it is a Saronni from the seat stay, down tube lug and fork crown stamping (note: the dropout is stamped Colnago). He had the mudguard eyes added at the time of the respray.
The seat tube is 61.5 cm (centre to top) with a 58.5 cm top tube (centre to centre).
The condition is very good indeed - there are no dents, dings or rust at all and only a couple of very minor, small chips to the paintwork. Comes with a smooth Stronglight headset.
