Could you please explain the bit about "built for Mafac brakes" ? I assume other CP's would fit.
Can I ask who painted it.

Other CPs will fit but the hanger may not line the cable up as well. It was the fashion in the 60s to have Mafacs and that is what was specified on the original order.
