 Post subject: 1999 Kona Kula

Aquired a 1999 Kona Kula frame from here and it was in a fairly sorry state when it arrived (as advertised) so I had resprayed candy apple red and ordered up some 1997 Kula decals from Gil_m and here is the result so far:

Forks: Z1 Dual 1999
Bars: Azonic singlewall
Stem: Kore
Headset: Hope (gun smoke blue)
Grips: yeti dual compound loc-on

Front Brake: Avid arch rival
Rear Brake: Shimano DX
Brake Levers: Avid SD 2.0l

Shifters: Sram X7
Cables: Jagwire outer, erm, 'metal' inner...
Front Mech: STX-rc
Rear Mech: Sram X0

Seat: SDG Ventura Ti
Seat Post: brand X
Seat Post Clamp: hope qr (gun smoke blue)

Cranks: XTR
Chainring(s): XTR
Chain: Sram
Cassette: XT
Pedals: DMR V12
Bottom Bracket: Hope (also in gun smoke blue...)

Front Wheel: Sun Rhyno lite
Hub: hope bulb 20mm
Tire: Tioga factory dh

Back Wheel: Sun Rhyno lite
Hub: XT
Tire: Michelin Wildgripper DH

Weight: 26lbs maybe?

Always wanted one of them when I was younger.

What size is yours? Let me know if you'd be interested in selling ;-) Can't believe I missed it on here.

The frame is an 18". I don't think I will be selling the kula any time soon, it owes me too much at the moment. However, I do have its predecessor which may be for sale -an 18" 1998 Muni-Mula. According to weight weenies it weighs the same as the 99 kula. Anyway, looks like this:
