Hi everyone, im new to the forum, ths is my first post, so here go's. I originally put this in the Retro MTB part of the forum but got no reply, so ill try my luck here!
I have a 1999 Marin Hawk hill that I want to do up for my girlfriend to use. It has a kind of brushed aluminium finsh, it is the model with the hydroformed downtube.
There looks to be some sort of laqured finish straight on to the aluminium, but this has started to wear of and looks a bit shabby. I want to clean it up so it looks like new again, and was wondering if anyone had come across this before? And what the technique to use for restoring it is?
