I'm really pleased with this bike. I love riding it and I like the colour and general look of it. I purchased the frame then the forks separately from ebay then found a bike for £400 with all these lovely bits on ebay too. I was able to sell the frame (Kinesis Maxlight) and forks (Recon Race) to recoup half the cost of that bike.
Next project is my Orange Clockwork 1999. I've stalled because I can't get the bottom bracket out, but I'm thinking a white powder coat (as there are lots of scuffs and chips on the original paintwork) and fresh decals before fitting up with a mix of original parts and an upgraded drivetrain to a SRAM X9 / truvativ 9 speed set up from the Alivio/STX system that it came with. Not sure if I should try to restore it as original - doesn't seem worth it as I'll be riding it as a town bike mostly. What do you reckon?
