Spontaneous ebaying = new and unexpected project

I have never owned a full suspension bike and I admit to knowing sod all about them. Saying that, I am pretty sure that this is no older than 1999 (unless the XTR has been fitted as an upgrade) but if anyone can shed anymore light on this I would be grateful.

Who likes it? Who hates it? Right now, I like it.

Also, while you're there...what size seatpost do I need??

Looks OK, definately a fixer-upper. Shouldn't take too much £'s to get it running though (pedals, post, saddle, bars, £40ish).
By the looks of it you should've had a bargain, but did you??????????????

That should be a 1999 model. Had the red 1998 Elite version myself BITD (that had 100 of travel front and rear), and I think that a 2000 model would have had disc tabs on the rear triangle.

The seatpost is 30.9 mm as on all other Specialized alloy frames. ;)

Great bike by the way! Had mine for a couple of years, and it was a fantastic allrounder!
