Was it a Banshee Spitfire that snapped? If so whereabouts? I have recently bought a V1 Spitfire to build up for my wife and I have a Prime 29er - mint bike.

What do you think about the forks?

I have 160 X 36 on my Moterra LT1 and they flex really badly - way more than I expected - a Lefty would have been stiffer - I am very disapointed with mine

The 36's are great. Love them, and feel loads stiffer than the Yari's I had.
