Hi there,

a couple of weeks ago a nice member on here offered me his Spot Singlespeed frame from 2002. Also I hesitated to build it due to differnet reasons, I finally decided to give it a shot. And because its not just another frame, I will start with this:

The frame was build in the workshop of and by Mike Truelove in 2002. Exactly!

Indeed the frame has some nice tweaks. The tubing is a custom selection of Dedacciai. The downtube has a diamond shape which should stiffen the BB area - the BB itself is completly sealed of by some welding towards all the other tubes - so no water in the stays :)

Spot started in Canada back in 1997 with some small parts for the growing single speed crew. Later on the first frames where built by Chris Dekerf and eventually Mike Truelove started building for Spot. In 2006 the brand was sold to the Lumpkin familiy and is located in Colorado since.

So far from Berlin. Stay tuned. Ride on.

A slow progress. But some XT cranks fitted and the headset arrived (thanks @iveto1983):
