Old School Hero
hi all, not been here for a while

I recently bought a second hand sunn xchox 1998 bike which has been stored for over 10 years but has had some new bits recently before it was sold.

Spec when I bought it:

wheels are deore lx hubs on mavic d521 rims. Kenda 2.1 tires

Frame is the sunn 1998 world championship winner with a sunn odyssey rear shock.

Forks are the bomber z1 bam 1998

24 speed acera gears shifters, rear derailur and chain new.
Xt front derailur

New cannondale c4 stem, bars and new lock on grips

Fsa sealed head set

Planet X seat post and suntour cranks

Brakes are avid leavers and xt v brakes.

All new gear/brake cables in and out on the bike

bonus was having a merlin hard tail frame and new headset includd with the sale.

so the plan is after having had a quick ride on the weekend with the family that it needs a strip down and full service and set it up to suit me.
and like any diy cyclist change parts to Sui my taste!

so where can I find out about servicing this frame and the might z1's?!

Re:

So after a quick ride with the family I noticed the rear end had a lot of sideways play in.

The time has come to strip her down.

With power to the shed sorted so I can see, though I could do with some heating in it, I managed to spend a few hours in there.

Just need to remember how I used to remove a crank years ago.

Attempting to take the rear end apart
Not sure how the rear shock comes out
This is where I got stuck and left it. Any ideas how this lot comes out?

Also any idea where I can get replacement bushes from?

Not sure when I will built it back up yet as I have another bike to build once I get this off the stand.
