Its almost a perfect copy of an older Cannondal Scalpel

But its made of standard frame parts found on cheapy to mid price frames 'JF' serial number reveals nothing.

Plans are for an all black build as near as dammit if the neighbours' missus doesnt want it.

Interesting. Looks much like early scalpel but without carbon fibre chainstays, the 29er scalpel no longer have them but pivots instead.

Headtube looks to small dia to take headshock.

I wonder if it could be avery early prototype as rare as a centre steer land rover? Or chinese knock off?

They were on sale on the Italian Ebay some years ago, branded as "Visp". Cheap knockoff, but the design seems nice. They might be worth a try if you have an old shock of the appropriate size laying around

I didn't know they made Scalpels with that fork. I've always seen them with the Lefty. Cool.

Visp = Very idendical scalpel bike

Yes, chinese knock off complete with spelling mistake.

Finished!

Neighbours Carerra as a donor bike (she does know)

And... erm...

Its a bicycle, lets just leave it at that.
