After an hopeless spell of no luck finding one! A very helpful and kind US member offered up this great frame. It's only 3/4 built but thought I'd post up the progress so far.

I managed to source a disc specific & quite rare rear triangle from the US. Frame was treated to a few mods including stress relieving the seatpost slot (prone to cracking!) re-riviting the bottle bosses etc. A fresh coat of off white paint and some fresh decals applied under the lacquer.

Parts are mostly from the correct period. Forks are new old stock Rock shox Psylo Race. Drivetrain is Sram Betsy with Kooka cranks, Specialised Ti bottom bracket. Brakes are Hope Mono Mini with Straitline lever blades & red top caps. Sram 9.0sl rear hub IRC tyres.

Think this will make a fun and very rideable Full susser. I'm sure this won't be to a lot of folks tastes but it's done in a typical late 90,s mish mash of colours and parts.

Big thanks to Don for letting go of this robust and cool frame

About time one of these popped up. Been wanting to see one on the forum for awhile. Looks great and thanks for posting.

Re: Hare

Some more shots of the various parts on the Hare. Last year I restored one of these frames for my uncle and fell in love with the chunky robust feel of these Hares.

Re: finished

Almost there... Not sure about cable colour... It looks bonkers.. Also I'd prefer some early Fox Float or Vannillas on the front.

I think a Flite saddle would look good, something sleeker. I like sleek saddles though. Badass looking bike.
