brodie torque

This old brodie torque has been hanging up in the workshop for a while now - so I finally got around to a quick SS build to check for size and comfort before I strip it down and send it for a powder coat. But it does have a lovely patina and was clearly well used and well travelled before it came to me via ebay.

I plan to rebuild it as a multi purpose go anywhere bike with gears, racks and mudguards.

Probably black with decals from Gil, though he doesn't have 'torque' on file. Probably just do the B's and brodie.

Undecided about powder coaters - ESP are local, but a friend recommended Wheel Master - I'm looking for whom ever is cheapest! I think ESP are £55 & VAT.

There are Pentland Powdercoating here in Edinburgh at around £30 for frame and forks while Hendersons are nearer £80.

Given the price differential I am tempted to try Pentland but haven't got a suitable guinea pig yet.

Probably going to drop it off at ESP - Wheel Master quoted £60.

Been riding it around a little in the meantime and it feels great!

Just dropped the Brodie off at the pain shop (ESP) - for a gloss black powder coat. Talking to Gil about decals - hope to have this one rebuilt and on the road / trail soon!
