I'm going to give single speed a try, but 1x10 if I don't get on with it, or even Rohloff if my Thorn breaks again. I think that's all bases covered!

Good choice! Sean builds a beautiful frame. I've had my Soulcraft (bought 2nd hand, an early stock size) for three years, and it's still my favourite. The ride is second to none!
