yep after not getting that voodoo I wanted I decided I wasnt going to settle for just anything. and I was being fussy. I wanted another Marin.

Well as luck would have it something local came along which caught my eye and knew I had to have it. Even better it was in my very limited budget. Took delivery of it this morning and well, the ebay pictures really dont do it justice, its gorgeous. its a marin muirwoods with the InSynch forks and 24speed

Wondering if I could have a bit of help though, is there anybody that could confirm what year it is? After having a look around Im inclined to think its a 2002 model but Im not 100% certain.

sorry about the pics, just took a couple indoors quickly. will be getting some good pics when I take it out riding

Re: martin has another marin :D

I'll try and find the catalogue to confirm but I'm pretty certain it's a year 2000 model. That was the first year they introduced the 'Ovation' tubing, the paint job on this one always stood out and sold really well! Great purchase mate.

well finally managed to take it down the trails and even though :

a)I seriously need to get back into riding (its been 7 years since I rode properly after my health went downhill)

and b) I am seriously unfit now

riding this down the local trail just put such a smile on my face. after trying a few rigids and not being able to get on with them, the front suspension is a very welcome addition. I can see what people mean about it being quite soft but for the terrain I want to ride its ideal.

anyway managed to get a few pics. apologies in advance for the rubbish photo quality. 5mp camera phone isnt the best

all I can say is. Im glad Im getting back into riding.

Looks tidy for the age, and the fact it still has reflectors on the wheels would suggest a relatively comfortable life. Nice find, I'd be inclined to change the fork but if it works for you just enjoy it!

I saw this on EBAY , the pictures just killed it , i bet you couldnt belive it when you saw it , looks like a different bike :D

Cheers Paul
