2009 Genesis Core 20

I picked this up a couple of months ago off eBay as a cheap "do it all" bike. I fancied a hardtail again to keep maintenance down and also fancied something with 120mm forks to take everything I could throw at the bike.

So this is how it arrived:

I had a couple of rides on it and then decided to change the forks and wheels for something a little lighter.

The Marzocchi 44 RLO forks were really nice, but still a little heavy. Plus they were only adjustable from 80 to 100mm of travel and I fancied 120mm.

A friend was selling an Orange Evo 8 for a reasonable price and it had quite a nice spec. So it was purchased and the majority of parts swopped across to the Genesis. This got the weight down to 27lbs.
