521? Or one of the newer ones? No point in 521's if your running disc.

Edit: newer ones! Good job.

Going with gold now then?

Currently hunting suitable front forks.

Looking at
Rock shox pike - 140mm travel 20mm maxle,
Rock shox reba rl - 120mm 20mm maxle.

Pikes are my preferred choice but we shall see.

Any other suggestions? 120-140mm travel and preferably 20mm axle.

Some Z1's (03/04) would go well on that....the crowns are a bit chunkier than Pikes and Rebas. The 04 ones are all black as well with gold adjusters....

Great project 8)

I might be interested in the Manitou forks if you're parting with them? :)

There are 20mm versions of the Z1 Freerides etc...not sure how common they are (a few mates of mine ran them on Ms Ilse's and they looked good.

There are also 140mm versions of the 55....with 20mm axles.

140mm versions would be ideal.

Or even if there was a way of getting 160s and then dropping the travel a touch.

The manitous will be for sale once I've found suitable replacement. Not sure of their value though
