Strange, why change a design that hasnt need much doing to it in the 100+ years ?

Apart from added weight I can't see the reason for it lol

You could ask that of most things though, sometimes all it takes to sell is a difference in appearance.
Just look at how many full suspension bikes have very similar spec but look totally different.
Is it any better for it? Probably not.
Has it drawn attention to the designer/manufacturer? Yes.
Job done then.

Kind of takes the Yeti thing to a whole new realm (at rear axle). Personally, I'm not too keen. For me, it has no elegance (as good steel frames do) and has none of the ruggedness of good alu / interesting 90's downhill frames.

For me, it's a particularly bad design because I don't look a the bike as a whole - just at that ruddy stupid loop on the back. Removes all sense of purpose from the frame, and that's what I find appealing in bike frames (which is why I love the first Breezers - raked top tube and pure purpose *drool*)

I wonder if this does anything to soften the ride... looks as though it may do, still horrible though... :shock:
