Hi
I’ve just put my shimano m775 2008 rear hub back together and it is still feeling a little rough, I have just had a look at the shimano site for a diagram and have noticed that on the free hub side there is no seal for the bearings is this correct? I had mine serviced a couple of months ago and when I took it apart I now i find that I have a seal on the free hub bearings. So should it have a seal or not, or has mine been fitted in error or is it a retrofit. The seal on the free hub looks a lot like the one the centre lock side.
It also seem strange to me that if there is no seal on the free hub side as this is leaving the free hub bearings open to a lot of water and grit ingress.
Thanks for any help
Tony
