- Lightweight steel frame - Dedacciai brazed by Lee Cooper I believe
- Deore Wheels
- Deore Vs
- Unbranded XD2R cranks (similar to those sold by Spa) - quite good quality actually
- Crappy steel rings - will get some TAs eventually - 52-42-30
- 8 speed 11-28 cassette
- Alivio rapid fire shifter
- XT friction thumby
- Kenda slicks
- Specialized BG saddle
- Ultegra road triple front mech
- Exage 300 short cage rear mech

to do:

- pedals will be changed (silver platforms on order
- guards to be fitted
- some kind of ergo bar-ends

All in all seems like a nice, bomb-proof road bike. 27" to 118" gears - suits me fine for hills. Fairly upright position, again ideal for me.

Initial impressions are good, comfort with speed and good road handling. I like it!

Thanks to Orange71 for frame, bits and consultancy.

looking good :D now go and ride it into the ground (carefully of course) ;)

Over time you'll be able to upgrade any parts you feel aren't up to scratch.

It's a great ride.

What sets it apart from just another slicked-up MTB are the forks which give quick and lively steering (not at all ponderous) and the ease of fitting road chainsets with narrow bottom brackets.

Even with the steel rings it is quite a light bike thanks to the dedacciai tubing.

That is looking very nice

I have a couple of Tioga alloy rings that will fit that chainset and a 105 rear mech PM me if you are interested ;)

Mark :D
