i will probably end up going for a 1x9 set up on this bike as i already have my klein as a single speeder, i figure it should weigh about 16.6lb

Nice! Looks superb, must accelerate like a, erm, something that accelerates quickly.

You could save another 300 grams if you swap out the forks for Trigon all Carbon (or keep the same bike weight and put some off-road tyres on!)

very nice, you'll need to let me know how those tyres ride as i have a pair in the house but just not had the bottle to put them on a bike

cheers for your nice coments guys

the tires are very light but seam to grip well on hard packed dry surfaces, not sure how they will stand up to mud or thorns though

i went with these tires as they were cheap and light, the whole bike has been built on a tightish budget weighing up cost against grams saved, i think its as good as i could do on my sized wallet

the gearing is 34 front 17rear at the moment but i am to put on some gears and turn it into a 1x9 weighing 16.6lb or there abouts

thanks for the pics wadsy, you are a legend ;)

stubbsy :D
