Project GT LTS 1000DS - FINISHED

Dirt Disciple
Way back in January, I picked up an LTS1000 frame & most of the groupset off Gumtree for 80 quid. The frame was encrusted with muck, mould and god knows what. It was a lurvely shade of orange and the decals had started to flake off. However, the paintwork was in pretty good nick, but the plan had always been to have the frame polished, so out came the Nitromors and Autosol - great way to spend a few nights!

The build progressed in fits and starts, depending on funds and time; however, I lost my camera so there were no build photos.

Eventually, the build was finished (thanks to Gil_M for the decals) and it rides like a dream. I'm sure most of my time will now be spent cleaning the bike - it doesn't half show the muck! Specs of the build is given below:

Thanks for the comments guys

Must take some cleaning to keep it that shiny!

I'd just given it a good polish and degrease before I put the decals on. I doubt if I will keep it looking this good - my thoughts were that it was built to ride, not to polish
