So my younger brother had his bike nicked a few weeks back and I've been feeling quite sorry for him as he used it to get to work and back everyday, he has also signed up (along with myself) to do the BHF London to Brighton charity bike ride next month.

So with this in mind I was keeping my eyes peeled for a project for me to build for him.
I eventually purchased a 2001 Giant Boulder SE off a freind at work who had it sitting in his garden for ages for a measly £20, after he bent the rear hanger and had the seat and seatpost nicked.

Anyway I'll let the pics do the talking, I forgot to take pics of the entire bike beforehand but you'll get the idea...

So the pics have come out last ones 1st  but you get the idea? I hope?

Anyway so I'm going down the old half polished Alu and black look what do you think?

The bike came with some heavy ass SR Steel crowned suspension fork which weight an absolute tonne!!, but I would prefer to fit it with either a rigid front fork or a decent old skool susser fork with an Alu crown to save weight, but as its being done on a budget these will have to sourced at a later date....any comments good or bad welcome...enjoy

Right the bike is coming along nicely, will need a new front derailluer as the one on the bike was buggered, and getting my bro a nice comfy seat, because I remember him banging on about getting one for the BHF Bike ride, then it all needs adjusting and setting up and we should be onto a winner.

Oh I REALLY need to ditch the SR steel suspension forks they are CACK! so on the look out for some replacment rigid forks ;)

All in including the purchase price it has cost me £39.50! that includes new seat, seatpost, KMC chain, S-ram qucik removal link, grips, cables, slick tyres, and brake pads not too bad if I do say so myself

Sorry crappy phone pics
