They are hardcore. If that's the start are you going to be able to pedal uphill to go down again

Only joking. They do weigh a lot though don't they? What's the travel?

And finally - do you have a frame yet for them or just keeping your options open?

.

This is on the way to go with the forks :D
For a 150mm rear wheel and suitably hardcore i think you'll agree ;)
Forks are 100mm travel and 2350g on the scales
They have a longer A/C measurement than standard type fork so will ride more like a 130mm fork which should be right for the frame, maybe

fork weight is bang on  nice!

this is a very interesting build!

without knowing too many parts, whats your goal weight?
what does the frame weigh?

and i think you should stop calling it 'her'
her isnt hardcore ;)

.

With a 1x9 set up i'm hoping for sub 30lbs :D
I haven't looked into the frame weight  but i'm sure she's no flyweight :D
In reference to 'her' not being hardcore, you clearly have'nt met the wife ;)

On that original thread I posted above I think (without re-reading it) that the chainstays may be solid metal!?

Anyway, looks like an interesting project, and I'm staying tuned for updates.

Is it getting a re-spray or staying black?
