Hello all,

Just some details on my bike.

Its a 1998 Raleigh Max Air Ride which I've had from new.
All of the parts are original except for the inner tubes, brakes and a new top cap (still have original though).

I also have the original amberwall tyres. The tyres in the picture are my winter tyres (gets very boggy here).

It weighs in at 16kg as original. A fair bit less with some newer parts (which I've swapped around).

The bike before this one was a Raleigh Activator 2 which was on the heavy side when I was a kid. :D

I've been after a bike to fix up for a while now and have a raleigh mtrax ti 1000 on the way. I'm thinking of making it into a single speed but not decided yet.

Ideas and advice on the new project would be much appreciated.

Nigel :D
