Here is my 1999 Klein upgraded once again - for 2010 and beyond.

Managed to get hold of a Hope C2 No.1 Calliper thanks to Wayne for that, it came up lovely with a bit of elbow grease, and that started me off really - I was hooked.

This was followed by a successful bid on Ebay for a set of C2's with Pro levers and rotors - swapped the rear callipers, bled them through and fitted em - they work fantastically well - easy to maintain and solid as you like.

Accquired some Reba Team Dual Air 100mm for a very good price - may pop the 20mm spacer in to bring the travel down to 80mm to preserve more of the bikes original geometry set-up - see how it goes - they certainly feel great at the moment.

Finally got some new white decals done by Gil - to match the forks and bring it all together more.

I initially wanted a new ride but could never ever part with my Klein - after all -it's a Klein!!!! - so I upgraded it to suit - feels like the same Klein but loads better - I just love it. I will in time upgrade the cranks (Middleburn) and a couple of other bits when I save the cash, but for now I'm very happy - hope others like it too.

only the second klein on here i actually like! very nice.

i would fit wider bars if it were mine but thats just me.

Nice bike
How old is that rear caliper?
I have a '98 Jamis with a Hayes caliper, 22mm mount like yours.
I don't really like those Hayes, maybe the Hope is a better idea?

I'm not sure exactly how old the caliper is - I bought it on here - from searching around the web tho I think they are from 1999 - 2000.

I did have a Hayes one first but thought the Hope was a much better option - I would defo recommend if you can find one.

Hope this helps.

great looking klein, owned a backfire before but sold it.

do you know the color name of the frame? is it a solid red color or with metallic?

thanks in advance
