Raleigh DHO 2000, my new build project, nearly finished....

afternoon all.
just thought i'd put a few pics of my new project if any one is interested. ten years since i first saw the raleigh dho i have finally be able to get one (thanks bowers from pinkbike).
the plan is to build her up with pretty much teh same spec as she would have originally have however some parts may be tricky to find and such so the rear shock and forks may be changed to a more hard core trail center use as such. firstly is to sort the frame decals and paint, am keeping the paint but just touching it up from tyre rub and normal scratches.
the frame is overall good condition for its age, as seen in the pics. if any one would like i'll post pics of her progree however its not going to be a quick build as i want to get her right.
any thoughts to spec and general opinons would be great.

aww i was saving my pennies for that one
do it la the catologue, maybe not year specific parts (i.e boxxer or whatever) but get exactly the same parts (year regardless)

Great to see a Y2K model DHO.
It was the last range I specced before leaving Raleigh.

Best regards on the re-build, it is a great frame.

ow do.
the eye to eye for teh shock is 195 (however i think i'll end up with a 190mm shock).
as to the spec list, well i did i have it (the catalogue came with one) but some dodge bike shop (no names mentioned) never returned it when i lent them the catalogue. so cant really help there. if there are any parts you'd like to know i have a fair idea of what should be on her so just ask.
i've dug out my new rocker arms and bearings/bushing i have for her so once i have sorted the paint job (hopefully started today) i shall rebuild her with new parts :D

yeah i was thinking i will be easy to get a 190 not so much a 195. going for an air can?
is that grip shift on there?
what bars?
are they deemaxes? what wheels are you planning on?
what have you got/planning on getting?
what rear mech did the stock bike have?
and stem?
and brakes?
sorry for all the questions
i wonder if you buy new parts how it would feel different compared to riding it out of the catalogue ➡️ :?: :?
i take it its a heavy hitter?
or just about right?
i like mine low and short, nice and nimble/agile, rather than long and sluggish

hi,
as to the questions;
1 - i think i'll be going for a coil shock on her, i may have to change some parts but ideally i'll keep to a original set up style. maybe a fox rc or vinallia, or even a romic if it i'll fit.
2 - yeah it had sram grip shifts on it but i've never been a real big fan of these and so i'll be sticking on a shadow xt rear mech and a saint shifter, simple strong and reliable.
3 - bars, they are azonic, not sure on the exact model but i'll be sticking with either azonic dw's.
4- wheels, the original were deemaxs but i do have a spare dt 440 hugi rear hub and so i may match it with a hugi 440 front hub, i do like my dt hubs. if i go with the dt hubs i may couple them with dt spokes to a set of syncrose rims.
5 - rear mech was originally a sram x9
6 - stem was a azonic shorty and so she'll be again (unless i stick with a easton vice?)
7 - brakes, classic o4 brakes and so it'll either be them or the c2/o2's.
8 - she's surprisingly light, i think once she's done up she may be around 33/34lb weight.
i started the job of stripping the frame down. had fun trying to get a few bolts out but job done. the primer is on and drying in the areas needing a paint touch up, found the yellow paint i spent ages selecting was the wrong shade but the red i have looks spot on however i havent applied that yet, that will be done tomorrow or monday.
if i decide to go for the dt wheels they should be done for two weeks time, then i belive its just a set of folks, and rear shock close to complete.
