Collected my Santa Cruz Blur LTc frame from 18bikes the other day:

The idea been i would reframe my medium blur LTa into it. I always felt i should have bought a large so decided to trade up and buy the carbon version.

I am going to run my 1 1/8th forks on it to start with and eventually i will fit a taper fork to get the full advantage of the taper headtube.

Currently i am waiting for my formula the one brakes to arrive, a frame wrap kit from Australia and a pair of custom wheels from www.justridingalong.co.uk

Hopefully towards the end of this month it will be built and ready to ride.

End spec should be:

Blur LTc frame in large,
RP23 2010 boost valve shock,
2010 RS revelation team air u-turns with a maxle,
Noir chainset,
Hope BB,
Cane Creek taper headset,
Thompson 4x 90mm stem,
EC90 SL Monkey bars,
Formula The One MY10 brakes,
DT240 hubs, Stans Crest rims, supercomp black spokes and alloy nips,
X0 Rear mech,
X0 Shifters,
XT direct mount front mech,
EC90 seatpost,
Gobi XM K:Ium saddle,
Sram PG990 cassette.

Very nice but whats a taper headset and headtube :? , is this another bit of technology passing me by

 Head tube tapers from a 1.5" lower race to a 1 1/8th" upper race.

Makes for a stiffer front end according to the blurb. The 2011 5 that I've got my eye on has this also.

Nice Blur btw.

That is light, probably lighter than my hardtail!

Those cranks are light (and expensive)...had a set for a while and they tended to look pretty battered after use in muddy conditions
