End to End Build AND Ride

Congratulations. A Stirling job. Admirable.

Something to tell the grandchildren. You should be immensely proud of your efforts.

Really well done, a great effort and also a great write up as you went along.
I also really felt for you today having had such great weather and then today was fog, sea harr and a good deal colder than it has been.
I had a good ride out to you and a shame you couldn't see anything, even water from JOG's and Dunnet Head. It did clear a little bit later on but not much.
It was good to meet up, have a cuppa and a chat then enjoy the tailwind on the way back.

Here is a wintery view showing you the view down the hill from the house. Just to show you how close DH is. :)

Aw man....

After I left you, I got as far as the mill, and then someone shut the curtains. You literally couldnt see 50 yards.

I think I might have to drive back up in the morning to see where Ive been!

Stats for the trip: 14 days in the saddle, 1088.9 miles/1752km horizontally, 17181m/56368ft vertically.

30 kilos of bike and clobber dragged up the length of the UK. All of it unsupported and most of it solo.

Hasnt quite sunk in yet.

Like I said, a great effort to keep that going for 14 days. Have that beer and relax with the family :)

Jamie

Glorious sunshine this morning, so we drove back the 30-odd miles to Dunnet Head and re-Dunnet.

Got some great pics and even saw some puffins!

Heres the money shot though.

Great one mate :)
That's why I had to text you as it has been absolutely glorious today, so was glad to hear you had already been. Enjoy the north.

Jamie

That's a more fitting day for your triumph.

Indeed. Nice one THM.

I thought about loading the bike up properly for the photo today, but given it was only getting lifted off the back of yhe car, that would have just felt too much like cheatinv
