makster-yeah i'm in that area as well. only just moved here-went for a couple of spins over the chain ferry into the purbecks and done a few laps of canford heath, but i could defo do with some local knowledge/guidance. i don't do mud so it'll probably be april before i'm back out there although canford heath seems ok ish in the wet? in the meantime i'll be riding by 1984 ish raleigh aerospace contour (in classic raleigh livery with shimano internal geared hub) to and from work.
