SOLD: 26" Mavic MA40 rims and DT Swiss spokes PRICE RED

28 hole double walled Mavic rims that were built up but not ridden. (They were built onto Mavic 531 hubs which are shown in the photos but are NOT INCLUDED IN THE SALE) Recently dismantled they do have some a small scuff on the braking surface & 2 small chips on the upper rim as shown in the pictures.
£40 for the pair plus £6 for fully insured postage.
DT Swiss taper gauge stainless steel spokes & nipples 42 x 270mm and 14 x 268mm though I'll measure all of them later tonight or tomorrow to be certain. Average spoke weight is 6.16g
£8 collected with an extra £2 for postage.

No,531 defo mountain bike hubs IMHO,501 where the road bike ones.Fantastic hubs and wonderful rims,
I had a set on my Tony Oliver.Now realised the benifts of cassete hubs or I would be tempted by these.Good luck with the sale.

thanks, I'm just not going to use them, I might even consider splitting them but it would be a shame.
 
Be prepared for lots of swearing and broken tyre levers. Those rims are b@stards to get tyres on and off.

Really, I know of a couple of people who had them & didn't say they had any issues other than they were great rims.
