just picked up this 17" Paramount RS60 earlier today. frame came w/the original Paioli fork (needs a rebuild), Deore DX front/rear derailleurs, Answer Hyperends, DX shifter/brake lever pods & an installed Specialized FutureShock (works, but kinda stiff). even though the original intention was to build it up, i'm considering either selling or trading for something a little less pristine as an daily driver.

photos tell the story...everything is in very good condition. will probably get rid of the barends, DX rear derailleur, shifter pods separately either way as i have no need for them.

frames or bikes: what i'm after is something early to mid-90s in a steel full suspension flavor (not as heavy as the Cuda Cat). i'd love a A2Fast if anyone has one, or else an FSR in the '94-96 range (preferably w/the prestige front end).

parts: i'd like a good set of cranks (Cook Bros Fs come to mind), Ti BB, & custom rear wheel (Pulstar, Nukeproof, Real or Machine Tech freehub, anyone?). could also use some XT parallelogram Vs, as well.

all things are negotiable, & i'd be willing to put the bike/parts together as a package for the right full suspension rig too. also have some other bits to perhaps toss in like an XT M737 8spd rear derailleur, brand new IG chain/11-30 HG cassette, etc.

guess the best way is to PM offers on everything, as i'm unsure of pricing or trade packages yet.

located in New England (MA, USA), but can ship most anywhere within reason using USPS International.

thx,

John

Update 11.29.12: frameset/fork & all parts SOLD on eBay

actually, i just did a shipping quote for someone on the Cuda Cat - $94 to the Netherlands. shouldn't be more expensive to you then there as a box would be about the same size. PM if you're still interested...

That's not half as bad as I imagined, import monies are what really scare me though :( and you haven't mentioned a price (not that I'm asking, but just y'know, observing casually... )

Anyone local (Vancouver BC) building up or own an old Specialized? I've got an XT M730 hub / Wheelsmith spokes / Specialized GX23 rim front wheel (no skewer). I wouldn't mind using the hub but it seems a shame splitting the wheel if someone could use it for a project. It's true, the rim surface is hardly worn and while the cones are a bit tight, I think a hub service would get the wheel rolling really well. The hub doesn't feel pitted. I'm up for swapping the wheel for something retro if anyone is interested in it? I gave it a 2 minute clean up but it could look more presentable if you wanted to give it a good buffing!
