Second year production (Litespeed) Marin Ti 1990 15” frame

Marin Ti 15 inch Ti frame only - utterly immaculate has been in store for twenty-five years.
No cracks, no dents. Litespeed confirms as July 1990. Duncan McCann has confirmed as very small batch. Have never seen another 15 inch but do correct me if you know of another survivor out there. De-decalled but provenance known and confirmed by Litespeed - have documentation on this. Has rare Contax needle taper bearing headset (immaculate and smooth as silk), plus totally smooth UN52BB. Original Shimano U brake with red/silver ONZA ChillPill.

Can’t see a unicorn like this coming up again. There’s one complete 17 inch in Switzerland and another complete 17/19 on here.

800gbp or offers - would exchange for modern medium enduro frame for the Grom, Transition or such, since that’s what I am aiming to fund with this.

Thanks MB - yep I think it’s a good ‘un ... my first foray into ti and it confirmed everything which I had heard about the ‘magic metal’. I made it up as a super-light racing rig, Mavic 231s onto Hope Ti hubs, got ti bars, ti seat post, and went a bit bonkers with ti bolts everywhere. Everything was selected for function, so the groupset was a hideous mix of XT, suntour XC, Sugino and Avid. A dog’s dinner in appearance, with absolutely bang-on precise function. It ran like clockwork, and had that strange ‘zing’ resonance to the frame which you get from ti. I did many runs all over the South Downs on it during the 90’s, and have fond memories of those days. It got put to one side when I started to build more down-hill oriented bikes and the slacker longer lower geometry has taken over our riding now. Flat out off the brakes down an Alp wouldn’t be quite what this frame is built for, and so it’s been lovely to see it on the wall of the workshop, but a bit of a waste to have it hanging there.

Hup ... still here and just hanging about from the roof of the workshop...
