Serial Number updated: 0028
Estimated '91 or '92 vintage,maybe '93
Sale price updated.

'91/'92/'93? Bontrager OR complete bike for sale. Serial # looks like 0026, see last photo.
Awesome example of an earlier pre-Trek vintage with block style decals. If you're looking for a Bontrager for your collection, this is a great candidate.
Beautiful blue color. All parts are from the original build, aside from the Velociraptors which might be mid-late 90s.
The bike was hardly ridden, grips and brake pads are original and in great condition.
Original oversized SLR brake housing and cables also in great condition.
Interesting Specialized parts build kit: fork, rims, cranks, stem, handlebar, grips and a Ti rail Prolong saddle.

Frame details:
*block decals
*non-recessed headtube, this is probably before the Race Lite was available.
*horizontal dropouts.
*cable stops are TIG welded.
*open wishbone, there is a black plastic plug in it.
*telescoping seatstay construction, this is well before the Privateer.
*pulley on seat tube for top-routing the bottom pull FD.
*all the Bontrager gussets
*Bontrager anti-chainsuck device
*I can't determine if it is suspension corrected geometry or not...but it was built with a suspension fork so probably.
*no rubber sleeve over the seatpost insertion point.
*17" c-to-t, 15" c-to-c

This bike is in California, I prefer to ship to the US but will consider shipping international.

Fork may not hold air.
XT hubs don't quite have their full luster.
Some marring on one of the decals.
No dents or deep scratches. I tried to capture any paint damage in the photos.
Hanger is straight, I just re-lubed the cables, only had to install a new RD cable b/c it was frayed. Shifts well, brakes work great.
One of the photos shows a bottle cage/bottle/mini pump, but I've since removed those.

I'm asking $550US plus shipping expenses.
