Next up to be sold is this one.
Nice fillet-brazed Roberts, early sloping top tube from 1989.
Has a lugged bottom bracket, mudguard eyes and rear rack mount.
it’s 18.5” c-t and 16” c-c, with a c-c top tube of 22”. 100mm headtube.
Nice mix of Deore 2 and xt. 1” headset, 26.8mm seatpost.
Rims are M6cd front, rear M7cd, on xt m730/2.
Brakes Deore, mechs Deore 2, shifters xt.
Dx headset. One vuelta chainring.
Stem an old Orange Stalk... handlebars non-branded.
Tyres mismatched but a pretty new irc on the rear and I have the matching NOS for front somewhere.
All cables seem original, brake blocks etc, so needs a good strip down, t-cut and service.
Only downside is a bar swing to top tube, couple of smaller dings, then one is worst... mainly hidden under cables. In the picture below I’m lifting the cables with a finger. I’ve ridden this many times and no adverse effects noted!
