SOLD Shimano Deore LX Canti Brake Pads

Re: Shimano Deore LX Canti Brake Pads (the chrome ones)

Hello.
The big question is, how hard are those pads? Are they about as soft as bakelit or is there actually life in them? I came over an Mtb recently with the same brakes but the pads are as hard as coal and need replacing. So what condition are the pads in before we go any further?

they're useable. the pad inserts are replaceable, if you want to fit newer.

Re:

I know they're replceable. The only problem is that the asking price for replacements is £44 from a seller on Ebay. That's not gonna happen. My other option is to get hold of som V-brakes instead & put the cantis in the save them just in case box.
