86 Fisher Mt Tam For Sale

Last of my good old bikes, selling due to old age and other health issues.
Has a gazillion miles on it, as it was a long time commuter cruiser.
Frame is solid, in decent shape but has a number of chips, and years of off and on road use.
Fully functional, and mostly original, though the factory filet brazed forks got bent
during some stair jumping or something in 89’ or so.
I still have the bull moose stem in a box. And I have the original
purchase receipt from Mountain Bike Specialists in Denver.
Mr Dean sold it to me (it was a couple years before he and some other fellows started
Dean Bikes) I cannot remember his first name any more.
The bottom bracket was shelled out around ’97, and replaced with a White brother’s.
Some recent photos attached. More available if there is interest.
Tried to attach a ’87 MBA cover and articles, that feature this model, but it seems this site cannot use a PDF.

I am posting this bike here, because I thought a collector might want it to restore or for parts.
Selling intact, not parting it out, for 300 bucks plus shipping.
Though I’d sure prefer a local pickup (in South Denver Metro area).

** also, pretty sure I no longer have original bars. Currently has a 90's Richie bar.
Forks are early Manitou (2's I think) that were rebuilt once.

I keep thinking of things after my initial post... :-) it's a medium, a 19".

Nice bike :D!
Think those are Manitou 1's.
Good luck with the sale!

Thanks R-Guru! Good to know on the forks.
Though the Manitous do not really do a whole lot, (only springs and dampers),
they were one of the 'next big thing' upgrades at the time.
(Maybe the spring(s) were an upgrade to the upgrade,
I don't recall:) But this bike has been well loved and it just never needed much in part swaps.
Rode a 94 SuperCaliber for a while that I needed to upgrade most everything!
Loved that SC frame though. It was sweet climber, and fast on the flat.

Love these original and well loved bikes from the 80s that is for sale by the original owner. If shipping to Norway was cheaper than an arm and a leg I'df take it in a heartbeat. Sweet bike!
