OK, so here's the story - bought this as a whole bike with a right mish mash of parts on it, as I wanted a lot of the bits off it for another build, I always intended to pass it on but then discovered it was my size so put it on top of the wardrobe to keep for the future...

However, I need some cash for the other builds so I'm putting it up for sale; if it doesn't go I want be too sad mind! Pics don't do it justice as the weather is so damn awful here today I can't get it out in the natural light. Some outdoor pics are from the other day.

17" centre BB to top of seat tube (probably what Kona would have called a 16" back then)
14.5" centre to centre, seat tube
Actual top tube is 21" centre to centre

I stripped it so I know all the threads are perfect, and look as the inside of that BB shell - it had a cable guide with a built in oiler (which will go with frame) as a result it looks like the day it came out of the factory in there! Very 'crimped in' where the seat tube meets the BB shell, like the Explosifs. Some rusty scuff marks to top of seat tube (see pic) where a child seat bracket was attached, apparently. Chips, scuffs, etc, to rest of frame, but no serious rust (unlike my '95 Cindy frame  )

It's lovely in a care worn kind of way. I want £50 for it, I think that's fair.

At this point, collection is preffered, or meet up at Junction 25 of the M5 in Somerset.

If enough/any interest from members further afield, I will post it, but it will cost me £15 with ParcelFarce as I no longer have access to the cheap next day courier through work, and as a result, no bubble wrap/box, etc, so will need time to find these things....

Re:

Not going to keep bumping this, as I really want to keep it, so if you're interested let me know sooner rather than later.... :p

Re:

if you don't want to sell, then put on ebay, collection only for more money than sense, then win win whatever happens, if auction with starting price at :D price then no fees if doesn't sell as well

Re:

Na, haven't got the patience to list it on the bay, if it doesn't go on here to a worthy retro home, then I'll keep it....... ;)

Hi,

What is the length of the head tube??

Is it 1" or 1 1/8th?

Sorry for asking as I have a set of Tange Forks and I am very interested in your frame

No problem Carl. It's 1 1/8" head tube, 110mm in length....

Hope that helps!

Thank you for the quick answer, my forks wont fit :(

Im really considering buying this and if its not sold by Tuesday (waiting on another pair of forks) ill be in contact!

Touch wood the steerer is longer on this other set :)

Re:

Wish I had a set of forks I could let you have with it, but it came with fairly modern sus forks on it....

It's a lovely frame. Will wait to hear, unless as you say it goes in the meantime....
