For sale I have a very nice 1993 hand-built (brazed) Raleigh Peak frame and hand-made cro-mo brazed fork. It's so nice I'd keep it for myself, but sadly it's way too small for me.
It's had very little use, less than 10 km judging by the mintness of the groupset that came with it. The paintwork is in really great condition, except for a handful of small spots of corrosion.
Frame is straight, and the bottom bracket and mech hanger threads are in excellent condition. Note the shot in seat says, which improved the strength of the seat stay / seat tube join. Combined weight of frame, fork and headset = 4.2 kg (9.3 lb).
Seat tube 17.25 centre to centre, 19 inch centre to top, top tube 22 inch centre to centre. 150 mm length head tube, 1-1/8" headset and 27.0 mm seat tube. 135 mm rear hub spacing.
The top tube decal has been carefully removed by the original owner, but the components (1993 Deore LX and no suspension) mark this as a Peak.
Also included is the headset. The headset's cable stop thing is a bit of a corroded mess for some reason, but I include anyway.
Looking for 18.50 gbp posted in the mainland UK. Paypal accepted, gift, or buyer pays the fees.
The cleanest chainstays I've ever seen on a used bike:
To be fully open about the condition, which is pretty good overall, here are photos showing the few spots of oxidation:
1. The bottom bracket threads are perfect. There are a few minor spots of oxidation (and a bottle cage bolt washer has oxidized).
2. The German sticker suggests this was originally sold by the ZEG retailer, in Germany.
