I tried to sell it in 2013 but eventually decided to keep it. This time it's going though, need the space.

1989 (I think, could be older) Laïti
single-digit frame number
former BotM winner

Suntour headset
Suntour BB
Suntour Accushift 3040 XCM front mech
Suntour Accushift 3040 XCM rear mech
Suntour XCM spider with XT M730 large and middle chainrings, Buzz saw granny ring
Suntour 7-speed freewheel
XT 4-finger V-brake levers (originals were DiaCompe canti levers but those didn't provide the correct cable pull, resulting in spongy brakes)
Shimano friction thumbies (suntour freewheel spacing and Shimano index doesn't mix really, so this was a temporary solution)
Fresh Schwalbe outer and inner tyres as well as new rim beads.

Seat tube C-C : 43cm (17")
Seat tube C-T : 48cm (19")
Top tube length C-C : 54cm (21 1/4")
Wheel base : 106.2cm (41 3/4")
Chainstay length : 44.5cm (17 1/2")
In the pics it's set up for my 5'8" and 30.5" inseam

The bike comes as-is, together with
- the 15mm Allen key needed to fasten/remove the wheels
- the original Wolbert tyres (I'll leave these near-new Schwalbes on)
- 5 repro decals made by Gil_m (he made 6, one is on the fork already)
- new brake shoes (they need springs still and require minor filing to fit the larger-than-normal pivot on the drums)
- the original Suntour shifter pods if wanted.

Needs plenty of TLC, fresh paint and chrome (unless you decide to paint the drums).
Fork is bent inwards slightly, so that will require some cold setting. Rear seems quite straight according to my LBS.
As far as I can tell, there's no structural rust.

It's rideable, but safe to ride is another matter. When brake shoes wear, they have a tendency to stick occasionally. If you release the lever while that happens, the cable can detach itself from the brake arm and dangle free. Not ideal when it's literally an inch away from the spokes.
The new brake shoes will sort that out, I just didn't want to install them before I tackled the rust on the drums themselves.

Looking for £250 shipped
EDIT : £200 shipped

Well isn't that just flippin' typical!

I'm now trying to convince myself it's 1/2'' too small for me.... just spent my allowance on something else.

In the words of all my exes : "it doesn't matter if it's too small, I'd be happy if you knew how to use it"

This one's right up your alley though, it's almost as weird as you. :p

It is indeed up my alley, and I'm miffed I'm all spent up...

Not sure where people get the idea I'm weird from though.

I saw it written on the wall in the female toilets in Redruth train station. It did also say he worries about what half an inch can do :D

Re:

Yeah, that looks similar indeed.

By the way, the bike has been dibbed.
EDIT : un-dibbed, grab it now while you can !
