the decision, sadly, is taken,I sell reluctantly my Altitude 1991,
restored with dedication two and half years ago, and since then only used three times.
The frame is in good structural condition, no rust, deep scratches, dings or dents, only a few points of paint that was just adjusted.
Here the story of the restoration, however, send detailed photos via email.

Good luck for the sale dear friend, but I'm here to say I'm so sad for your decision about this beauty.

Re:

What a beauty and such bad timing too I have just spent a fortune restoring my 93 race bike.
Are you open to offers on the Frame only ?
What size steerer tube does she need ?

Only difference between that and your 93s is a 27.0 seatpost.
Everything else is the same bar a few mm in the headtube. Though this is a smaller frame?

Re:

Fluffy the difference is this is a more durable everyday ride as it has a
Heavier tubeset with the lovely wishbone rear stay with its
equally horrible rear brake noodle setup that makes the rear slow to return and spongy.
Much simpler build as it predates XTR so a nice XT setup with thumbies
Should be a 27.0 post which I have and Syncros stem too just need bar and fork ! As ever the fork will be impossible

Re:

I've been riding one for 23ish years, I know exactly what they are like.

I was meaning, with respect to the bits you attach to it.

I have the forks, I just don't have the correct steerer attached to them, lol.

You have rack mounts on this, even if it was the race frame.
Back end wasn't spongy on mine, though it is now has modern Vs on it as it isn't rider.

Mine went straight to XTR as well.

Go the whole hog if you get it and put some proper gripshift on and tubeless tyres.
