Also interested in the Judy damper. Will it fit a 1996 Judy XC?

I bought the Judy bits on here for my 96 SLs which were the same length. I have measured the units and including the retaining bolts in the picture they are both 222mm.
This fitting would have worked on my SLs but I managed to get new seals for the original damper so never used them - hope this is helpful. Wasn't sure about the 1998? comment but all I can say is they look the same as my 96sls apart from the external adjusting bolt which is changed by allen key rather than the SLs red knurled nut.

The knurled ribbing on the end was a feature in the 1998 improved damper. Might be a cross head screw in the other end, this eased refilling the oil.

P.S. I might have a chat to see if you can rejuvenate some old MAG21 seals
