I bought these as I had planned to remove the spider from the XT arm and fit to one I have that doesn't have the right spider, but I have since discovered I have the right spider so no need to do this now.

SOLD - XT M751 drive side arm - 170mm - £10 posted

XTR M952 non-drive side arm - 170mm - £10 posted

But both for £15

Sorry, to barge in. But I am pretty sure, that the spider of the M751 crankarm is not detachable. This is only possible with the M750 crankarm. The M750 spiders are compatible with the M95X crankarms. Still a very good price for the set. If it were 175mm I would have gotten them. GLWS

I think you are right, though if you didn't mind destroying the arm I suspect you could detach it and use on other cranks. I didn't want to go down that route as it is a waste of a good crank imho.

Indeed the XT M750 being the square taper version, with the (non destructive) removable spider
