Some nice klunker bits (from a Dawes Ranger)

I'm planning to put my Dawes Ranger on a diet - in which case I'd have some nice retro bits for sale. I've received an offer for the mechs and seatpost. Before I get the spanners out and dismantle an original bike just wanted to gauge interest on the following. If you think this is an evil thing to do feel free to tell me - and if you want to make an offer on the whole bike before I start, go ahead! :)

Stem: SR-MTS-100 - £15
Bars: SR MTB-200 - £10
Grips: Plastiche Cassano (free with the bars :))
Chainset: Sakae CX 46 36 26 - £20
Wheels: Weinmann concave rims on Maillard hubs (stainless spokes) £25
Pedals: SR MP 470 - £20
Shifters: Suntour Power Ratchet - £15

You think? I'm just not going to use it as-is but as I said before I am open to offers if anyone on here wants to save it. The idea of splitting it up came from a fellow Retrobiker who was after some bits to restore his less than 100% original Ranger, so I figure, what's the difference? I reckon it has real potential as a tourer.

What about the frame + forks?
Keeping those! Plan is to build up with lighter parts, Shimano (indexed) drivetrain and possibly drop bars.

Ahh...thought you might be giving it away to restore the balance of bad karma!

I don't see that the karma's all that bad. I'm not asking over the odds for any of the bits and most will be going to other restos. In the meantime the Dawes will get a chance to rack up some miles rather than sitting in a shed.

If it makes you feel better there's a Raleigh Town and Country frame in my back yard you can have for free. :D
