The Specialized Rock Combo was ahead of its time, and was only made for one year, 1989. Unlike most hybrid bikes which are just mountain bikes with skinny tires, the Rock Combo has a geometry much more like a road bike. It has a steeper head tube angle than most mountain bikes which gives it quicker handling.

Specialized Triple Crank w/ 175mm Arms and Specialized 28/38/48 Chainrings
Suntour XCD Front and Rear Derailleurs
Suntour Barcon Shifters, Front Friction, Rear 7 Speed Accushift Index or Friction
Suntour 7 Speed 13-30 Tooth Freewheel
Specialized Bottom Bracket
Dia Compe 984 Cantilever Brakes
Specialized BB-1 Moustache Style Drop Handlebars
Specialized Headset
Suntour GPX Brake Levers w/ Original White Suntour Hoods
Specialized GX23 26 x 1.5 Wheels
Suntour XCD Hubs
Strong 26.4mm Alloy Seat Post
SR Sakae MTP-126 Pedals

As far as I can see the bike, which has been in storage, has all the original fittings and apart from a few surface rust patches, is in good condition

Lovely bike, I have just the frame sitting in my garage waiting to be built up. Very nice to ride.
