Retro Newbie
I’m selling the below Dag (French manufacturer, website here) Ska playboat/freestyle kayak. It’s had very light use over the past few years, and although the usual scratches are present, there’s nothing major at all (I’ve included pictures of the worst ones).

It’s going basically because I don’t have the time for kayaking – I prefer cycling and mountain biking too much, plus, where I live, it’s much easier to jump on a mountain bike than in a kayak.

Tech Specs:

Length of boat: 2.29m
Width of boat: 0.62m
Height of boat: 0.29m
Weight of Boat: 15kg
Max weight of kayaker: 95kg
Volume of Boat: 180L
Coaming dimensions: 89x49cm
Suitability: Adult / Teenager / Child
Water: White Water / Sea

In addition to the kayak I’ll also chuck in a set of paddles and a hardly used Yak Kryo neoprene spraydeck (size = small/medium). N.B. The kayak doesn’t come with footrests.

New the kayak alone would cost you around £475-500, £550-75 with a paddle and spraydeck: I’m after around £250-75 (or part exchange, see below) which, considering the stuff I’ve thrown in, and the condition of the kayak, I think is pretty reasonable, though this price is negotiable.

I also need the money so I can buy another bike, hence the double nature of this post: I’m looking for a retroish, XC orientated, probably (though not necessarily) rigid mtb. I’ll consider absolutely anything: singlespeeds (infact I’d quite like a singlespeed), early 90’s anodized stuff :D even 29’ers. Something like a vintage Kona, Orange or Marin would be perfect, or something newer, or from another manufacturer, or even just a frame – I really don’t mind as long as it’s interesting and rides well. I’m 5ft 9/10 so something like a 16â€

Have you tried selling it on canoecafe.co.uk?

I hadn't heard of that site - If I don't get any luck on here or the other places I've posted I'll probably give it a go there: thanks :D
