Thanks

Well, it's 1994 or later. Maybe even something like 1996-97...

Thanks for the quick reply. Does the 94 on the frame number have any relevance?

Cheers

No sure about that but the steel frames had 1" headtube in 1993 and maybe even in 1995 (not really sure).

You could also check out www.mtb-kataloge.de --> Specialized !

Thanks for that, from the catalogue all the 1995 models have 1 1/8" headsets. 1994 doesn't show headset sizes, I guess probably still 1" as I think they would have documented a change from the 'normal size' at the time.

Thanks once again for the help.

Hi again,

Thanks for the reply, sorry if the eBay ad makes it look like you misled me re: the date of manufacture. Not the case at all I just have a rubbish memory and couldn't find the selling thread on Singletrackworld when I searched. Sad to see the bike go but in the end I think it was a bit small for me and I had far too many bikes/frames in the garage.

Cheers again,

Martin

Welcome. It was mine. Bought it in a fairly bad way, repsrayed it, built as a singlespeed, then rebuilt it with gears to sell it. Great bike to ride, stunning value at £166!!!
