1993 Mantis Pro-Floater

Devout Dirtbag
The frame is in great shape with no dents, dings, or cracks. Bought this here a few years ago as a completed build. When I got it I swapped the Joes brakes that I found to be unadjustable for a set of NOS WTB Speedmasters, the fork was also changed out for a NOS Mag 21. In addition to this I replaced the bb with a Phil Wood and the old chainrings with some TA Zephyr and a set of TA self extracting crank bolts, I also switched the seat to a flite. Its a beautiful bike but I found I don't like it as much having purchased it as a full bike than if I would have found all the bits and pieces myself. Let me know if you have questions or want more info or pictures. Cheers

I would like $2250/OBO

$65 shipping lower 48. I will ship it worldwide if seller pays the way. Be aware I had it shipped from Europe over 2 years ago and I think it ran between $250 and $350 in shipping I would be shocked if it was more affordable than that now.

Re:

Such a gorgeous bike. I know what you mean though - I recently (finally) tracked down something I wanted in the size, colour and, importantly, condition I wanted.. but it was a bike rather than a frame set.. and I haven’t really bonded with it. Annoyingly, the spec is so perfect for the bike that I can’t even think of how I would “curate” it further. Cable hangers. Grafton cable hangers - that’s all I have come up with..

Postage costs and customs duty make buying whole bikes from the US a fairly painful experience for those of us in the UK, unfortunately. I hate to be the first vulture here (because I think it’s a real shame when a well specc’d bike is broken up).. but if you were in the frame of mind to do so at some point, I wouldn’t mind discussing the WTB cantis..

Otherwise GLWS!

I will let you know, if it doesn't sell in the next few weeks I will be parting it out. It took me a while to decide to sell some bikes but now that I have they definitely are on the way out.

Re:

I’m still in that denial phase in which I ignore what seems so visually clear to any non-RBer who so much as glances in my bike room:

The correct way to calculate the optimal number of bikes has somehow now become n-1!

Yes I am trying to operate on the 1 in 1 out principle but cant just give them away and so far no takers.

Thanks, bought 500 or 600 euro worth of rings at the bar one night from a German site and these were some of them. I make my best worst decisions at the bar. :)
